Well, my comment was imprecise because in this case it was another man's imperfection, the umpire's. The pitcher was throwing a perfect game (meaning no one reached base, not though a hit, or a walk or even a fielder's error) which has been accomplished only 20 times over 125 years. On the last play of the game they through to first to get the batter out and the first base umpire called him safe. It was clear the ump made a mistake and he was truly out.
The outcome though was very inspiring. The pitcher didn't yell and shout, he just smiled a sad smile and went back to work. Umpires don't usually apolgize but this one did tearfully and with a hug. The next day to show no ill feelings, the pitcher brought the lineup card to the umpire before the game began. The fans, on the whole, applauded the umpire when he came onto the field the next day. And the Tigers' manager said, "players make mistakes, umpires make mistakes, managers make mistakes and the media make mistakes."

Yisrael, that's deep.
Please elaborate for those of us who’s understanding is imperfect.
